Relax, Play with Your Kids & Lose Weight

You might have tried different types of exercises to lose weight. But did you
ever think or analyze which exercise is the best suited for you?
The best weight loss exercise is something that you would love to do. It can be
performed for 30-60 minutes and helps you in sweating. Don’t think that sitting
and watching TV, reading and sleeping for relaxation helps you achieve the
above-mentioned purpose. If you really want to lose weight by exercising, then
think about a way that requires you to move and something that you enjoy doing
the most.
Play with your kids everyday for about an hour daily. This may really be
beneficial for you to lose weight and prevent your body from getting obese.
Giving your kids piggyback rides or playing outdoor games with them everyday for
about an hour will help you achieve weight loss very soon. And the best part is
that you don’t have to think about strenuous work-outs. You enjoy spending time
with your kids and help that hour in shedding some pounds as well.
The best activities for weight loss are the house-hold chores like gardening,
house keeping, and housecleaning etc., which can be performed to lose weight.
You might not like them but they are the best weight loss exercises.
Don’t make a routine of doing work-outs everyday rather perform some other
activity which gives you enjoyment as well as help you in achieving your goal
fast. You lose more weight in this way because you continue with it longer as it
does not seem like a work to you as it becomes a daily routine.
Interval Training
Interval training is where you workout fast for some period of time and then
slowly for some time.
For instance--You may jog for a minute and then walk the next minute.
Interval workouts should last between 20 and 10 minutes. So if you do an
interval workout, you are really working fast only half the time and resting the
other half by working out slowly.
Here are some more examples of interval workouts you can do:
• Going up the stairs is the hard part and going down is the easy part, so
you can jog up and down on the stairs.
• You can swim a lap real fast in freestyle swimming followed by an easy
backstroke swim for a lap.
Intervals are there so that your metabolism remains high for the day even after
you finish exercising. So for many hours after you finish your interval workout
your body is still burning calories (burning fat).
Think that you will be burning calories the whole day even when you will be
relaxing. Intense interval workout keeps your metabolic rate at its maximum, so
that you can burn more calories throughout the day.
